BAMPFA-Berkeley Art Museum Presents Get Dancin': Selections from the Collection

Get Dancin’: Selections from the Collection is organized by Director and Chief Curator Lawrence Rinder with Assistant Curator Stephanie Cannizzo. Kathryn Roszak, Choreographer and Artistic Director of Danse Lumière, gives a gallery talk to accompany the Get Dancin’ show, a lively selection of artworks representing dancers from the museum’s collection. Her talk focuses on images of dancers whom she has admired including Barbara Morgan’s photo of dance legend Martha Graham and Abraham Walkowicz’s watercolor of Isadora Duncan, considered to be the mother of modern dance.
