Kathryn Roszak's Danse Lumière presented the first step in developing the Berkeley Dance Installation, at the Shotgun Players Studios, on February 5, 2017. Women choreographers screened their works and presented dances in open rehearsal. Participating choreographers included Sharhrzad Khorsandi, Dalia Rawson, Lissa Resnick, Kathryn Roszak plus the dancers of the New Ballet School.
The Berkeley Dance Installation offers a unique venue for dance as well as a new way to view dance artists and their creations. This installation highlighted contemporary ballets by women, a minority group of choreographers in the ballet world.
