Summer Camp 2012 Information

DANCE CAMP JULY 16-27, 2012 (1 or 2 weeks)  9a.m. - 12.30 p.m. daily.

An ideal camp for children ages 4-12+ (divided by age). Includes Creative Movement, Ballet, and Tap. We offer a wonderful performing arts experience in the largest dance space in Berkeley. Children work on new shows each week.  Unique high quality program with professional instructors in sixth year. Recommended on Berkeley Parents Network. Program is very popular and fills fast. Call to inquire.  Afternoon care available - flamenco and dance/science workshops (as presented at Kensington Hilltop and at Lawrence Hall). Registering now.

AGE GROUPS: (ages 4-5)   (ages 6-9,10-12+) Afternoon (ages 6-12+)
$245.00 for one week , $445.00 for two weeks
Camp may include tap, crafts projects, family open house performance at end of week.  Afternoons until 3 p.m. add $110.00. For flamenco or dance/science there is a $40.00 materials fee.
Earlybird and Sibling discounts available.

There are no refunds, but at the discretion of the director there can be an equivalent credit towards the next class series.

Suggested class attire:
Creative Movement: Wear what is comfortable.
Girls taking ballet: leotard and tights with ballet slippers.
Boys taking ballet: tee shirt, tights and ballet shoes.
Tap: tap shoes available at SF Dancewear and Payless Shoes

Craft materials provided by camp. Parents provide snack and lunch.

Kathryn Roszak trained on Ford Foundation Scholarships at Balanchine’s School of American Ballet in New York and at the San Francisco Ballet School.  She danced as a soloist with the San Francisco Opera Ballet and has choreographed for A.C.T., San Francisco Opera Center and for productions with her own company in New York, Washington D.C., and Copenhagen, Denmark. She has taught children at Marin Ballet, A.C.T, and at the Harold Jones Center for Child Development at U.C. Berkeley.  Her dance company Danse Lumiere performs and teaches in schools and in the last five years Ms. Roszak has developed an innovative and exciting dance program for children.
